Projects:

We have 30 children 15 of them are coming to eat their only meal for the day and the 15 are attending classes. Thembalethu Beaders has raised enough money to build a school for children between the ages of 3 to 5 to give a head start in education. We continue to raise money to clothe the children feed them and give them love and care.

Next to the school is a center, which was built by Thembalethu where women congregate when they come to work. The center shelters the women from the sun and rain. It is during this time that they discuss issues relating to HIV/AIDS and child abuse.

Thembalethu is proud of it’s collaboration with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, The Nations Leading Industry Based HIV/AIDS Fundraising and Grant-Making Organization. The money raised from bead work has the biggest impact in South Africa where 32 organizations have benefited financially.
